Jakobsen spent most of his career playing football in Europe. He has represented a variety of clubs from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
He was close to joining Zamalek in 2020. However, former head coach Jaime Pacheco was said to have doubts about his decision to sign the winger.
Wadi Degla took advantage of the situation and signed the winger as a free transfer. Jakobsen scored just once in his 15 appearances for the club.
Degla was relegated and they lost Jakobsen, who signed a deal with Smouha to transfer him permanently.
Jakobsen only appeared six times in a year with the Blues. He failed to score any goals or provide assists.
Alexander posted a Facebook statement expressing his disapproval of Smouha and wishing them luck for the future.
Alexander, 28, stated that he has decided to end his contract with Smouha Club.
