Soliman, who has been part of Pyramids ever since 2018, after he arrived from Smouha. He has made over 60 appearances for this club.
But, the 35-year-old has been losing his starting spot to Sherif Elkramy and Ahmed El-Shenawy in recent weeks. His last appearance was in March against Al Ahly Tripoli in which he was beaten 1-0.
After being prevented from training with his team, he also filed a complaint to the Egyptian Football Association.
According to Mohamed Salama, a board member, Ittihad in Alexandria seized the opportunity to sign Soliman’s contract.
Salama said that Ittihad of Alexandria had already obtained the signature of El-Mahdy Soliman, goalkeeper. “We also registered his contract with the Egyptian Football Association.”
Soliman will finally leave Pyramids. He claimed that the club wanted to keep him out for no apparent reason. They had refused to let him go on previous occasions despite not giving him a lot.
