Luis Miquissone, a player for Al Ahly who came from Tanzanian outfit Simba SC last summer, has had a slow start in his Reds career.
Al Ahly’s 26-year old forward managed only three goals and one assist in 16 games across all competitions this season.
Local pundits were critical of his performances, claiming that the Mozambique international didn’t benefit Al Ahly since his arrival.
Rumours suggest that Al Ahly will consider Miquissone’s offers in the upcoming transfer window. This is despite a disappointing campaign.
But, Thato Matuka, Miquissone’s agent, said that Al Ahly has yet to be offered an official bid. He also denied any links to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
According to iDiski Times, Young Africans SC reportedly made a bid for Miquissone’s signature while Al-Merrikh, Al Hilal and Simba SC all inquired about Al Ahly’s availability for next season.
Matuka stated that the club [Kaizer Chiefs] has not communicated with him, and I have not offered him to them, it’s a non.”
“Simba has not contacted me neither and Yanga, it’s not a no, we haven’t heard anything but if they leave Al Ahly, our aim is to take him North.”
