Miquissone only joined Al Ahly from Tanzanian giants Simba in August 2021 for a fee EUR850,000. She had first seen them during the CAF Champions League.
But Miquissone did not enjoy his debut campaign. He netted five goals and assisted once in 28 games during a season in which Al Ahly finished third in the league.
He led Al Ahly to the Club World Cup bronze medal, winning against CF Monterrey as well as Al Hilal. Al Ahly is looking to strengthen their squad for the new season and have decided to let go Miquissone in order to make room for a foreign player.
Although the 27-year old was reportedly interested in a variety of African clubs, he has decided to join Saudi Pro League outfit Abha for a long-term move.
miquissone joins Felipe Caicedo, an Inter Milan and Lazio striker, as well as Devis Epassy, Cameroon’s goalkeeper.
Absha finished ninth last season in the Saudi Pro League. The club had a good start to the new campaign, with three points from its first two games.
