Al Ahly suffered a disappointing season, and Mahmoud El Khatib, the club president, promised a rebuilding of the squad.
The club has now begun to strengthen its squad by signing new players, including Bruno Savio, who came from Bolivar La Paz.
The Reds also announced Shady Hussein, a newcomer from Ceramica Cleopatra, a fellow Egyptian Premier League side.
Shady, a 29-year-old forward, was close to joining Red Devils last season, but Reds preferred Hossam Hadsan.
This forward, who played mainly as a striker and on the wing, scored ten goals in 31 games last season.
Hussein joined Cleopatra in 2014. He has been a member of the one-team team, and helped them to their first ever promotion to the Egyptian Premier League in 2020.
He is Ceramica Cleopatra’s top goal scorer, scoring 16 goals in the top tier.
