Bank Al Ahly finished seventh in the Egyptian Premier League’s last season, their best ever league position.
Keen to build on this, the club has already signed Egypt internationals Mohamed Abou–Gabal (on a permanent basis) and Ahmed Tawfik (on free transfers).
They also signed three players with Zamalek, Osama Faisal (on a permanent basis), Hamdy Alaa (on a loan basis), and Islam Gaber (on a temporary basis).
Gaber, a Misr El-Makkasa native, joined Zamalek in July 2019. He made 83 appearances since then and won back-to-back league title titles. Also, he played in the final of the CAF Champions League against Al Ahly.
Faisal was on loan at Bank Al Ahly last season, but failed to score in 28 games. However, the club decided to extend his loan for another season.
Hamdy Alaa spent last season at Zamalek but at Smouha where he scored one goal in 24 games. He will now spend another season-long loan at Bank Al Ahly.
