Ceramica finished in 14th place in the Egyptian Premier League last season. This was only one point behind El-Gouna, who had been relegated.
They have signed a lot of high-profile names, including Ahmed Yasser Rayan from Al Ahly.
Rayan will not be the only one leaving Al Ahly to join Ceramica. The club also announced the signings of Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, and Mohamed Shokry.
Beckham, a product of Al Ahly’s academy, was not able to secure his place in the first-team squad. He made just three substitute appearances between 2015-2018 before moving on to Wadi Degla.
Beckham was re-signed by Al Ahly after just one season. He failed to make an impact so he was sent on loan to Smouha for the last 29 games. He scored once and provided one assist.
Mohamed Shokry, left-back, also spent the past two seasons on loan at Smouha. He managed to make 25 appearances and score once.
After signing new deals with Ceramica Cleopatra, the duo will be facing a new challenge in their careers.
