Southampton Football Club is a football team based in Southampton, Hampshire, South East England. It’s also known as “The Saints”.
After the 2008/09 season, Southampton was relegated to the First Division from the Championship. The team finished as runners-up for League One in 2010/11 and was promoted to the Championship, and the English Premier League in 2011-12.
Chinese capital made the Southampton Football Club, the second Premier League team to become completely owned on 14 August 2017.
