After a disappointing season that saw Ismaily in the relegation zone for most of the campaign, Ismaily is now looking to strengthen its squad with new players.
Already, the Yellows have made a number big-name signings including Hamdi Nagguez from Tunisia, Yaw Annor and Firas Chaouat & Nour Zamen Zammouri from Tunisia.
They also signed former Zamalek and Egypt striker Bassem Moraisy. The deal was announced on Wednesday evening.
Morsy’s time with Zamalek is most notable. He scored 50 goals in 137 games, and helped the Whites win five trophies including a league title.
After leaving Zamalek, AE Larisa and Smouha, EntagEl-Harby, MisrEl-Makkasa, and Ceramica Cleopatra, he took on a variety of Greek challenges.
Bassem was a part of Ceramica Cleopatra for 34 games last season. However, he managed only four goals as Ceramica finished above the relegation zone.
Bassem, a 30-year-old Egyptian player who has scored seven goals in 10 caps for Egypt has signed a three year contract with Ismaily. He’s expected to continue representing the club until 2025.
