The White Knights had a successful domestic campaign. They were crowned Egyptian Premier League champions again for the second consecutive year and beat Al Ahly to the 2021 Egypt Cup.
Despite this, the club aims to improve their ranks after the departures of Achraf Bencharki and Tarek Hamed.
The club has announced the signing of Ibrahima Ndiaye and Zakaria Al Wardi, their first domestic signing this summer, Pyramids FC’s Ahmed Ayman Mansour.
Ahmed, a product of Zamalek’s youth sector and the son of Ayman Mansour (club legend), had been working at Pyramids FC since July 2018.
This 28-year old defender played in 95 games for Pyramids and scored three goals. He helped them reach the 2020 CAF Confederation Cup Final, where they were defeated by RS Berkane.
Mansour, who made just five appearances, including two starts, has been pushed down the pecking list this season.
Mansour, who was terminated by Pyramids, has returned to Zamalek as a free transfer and is now the club’s third signing.
Ahmed Ayman was a player for El-Gaish and El-Dakhliya before he joined Pyramids. He made a name for his self at Al Masry.
Mansour represented the Pharaohs five times and was part the Egypt team that participated in the 2019 AFCON. However, he didn’t play a minute during the tournament.
